Encinitas 5K/1K Run-Walk- Saturday, May 19 2012

The City of Encinitas Parks and Recreation Department will hold its 21st annual City of Encinitas 5K-1K at Moonlight Beach. 2012 Pet Health Expo- Sunday, June 3

At the City of Encinitas Pet Health Expo, pets and owners alike can enjoy plenty of fun activities while promoting the better health and wellbeing of the pet population.

Activities include professional photos with your pet, grooming, a best trick contest, and the neuter scooter clinic. Informational booths, vendors, and animal rescue organizations will be on hand at the expo to give away free goodies and prizes as well as encourage pet health and wellness ideas.

In addition, the County Department of Animal Services will be offering dog licensing, rabies shots, and microchipping for residents of Encinitas, Solana Beach, Del Mar, Carlsbad, Santee, San Diego and unincorporated San Diego.

2012 Pet Health Expo, Encinitas

Encinitas Environment Day- Sunday, June 10

In conjunction with the United Nations World Environment Day, Encinitas Environment Day will be celebrating six years of sustainability! Encinitas Environment Day 2012 will be held at Cottonwood Creek Park in downtown Encinitas on June 10, 2012

Fostered by the City of Encinitas and presented by The Solana Center, this volunteer driven event is designed to encourage environmental awareness and highlight the efforts of the City of Encinitas and Eco-friendly organizations, businesses, and individuals making Encinitas their home.

Summer Sunday Concerts by the Sea- July & August

Summer Concerts are held right on the sand at beautiful Moonlight Beach in Encinitas. Come enjoy fun at the beach. Remember that glass, alcohol, smoking and dogs are prohibited on our beaches. Call 760-633-2756 for info.

Summer Concerts

Encinitas Feeling Fit Festival- Saturday, August 25, 2012

This FREE event for all ages is held at Leo Mullen Sports Park, across from the Encinitas Ranch Shopping Center. Participate trail hikes, drop-in sports clinics and fitness class demos. Also check out the giant rock climbing wall, surf simulator, jousting arena, obstacle course and bungee trampolines. There will be plenty of information and goodies from the many health and fitness exhibitors on hand. For event information call (760) 943-2269.

2012 Encinitas Holiday Parade- Saturday, December 1

Mark your calendar for the 2012 Encinitas Holiday Parade, to be held on Sat, Dec 1. The Tree Lighting Ceremony will get going at 5pm in the Lumberyard Shops courtyard and the Parade will begin at 5:30pm on Coast Highway 101.

Easter Egg Hunt Festival- Easter Weekend 2013

The Parks and Rec Department presents its annual Easter Egg Hunt Festival on Saturday, at Ecke Sports Park (next to the YMCA) from 10am to 1pm. This free event features arts and crafts, entertainment, prizes, jump houses, face painting and of course 24,000 eggs! Call 760-633-2740 for more info.

Senior Information Fair- April 2013

Attention All Seniors! Join us for our annual FREE Senior Information Fair featuring exhibitors offering information about services for seniors, including health, transportation, housing, recreation and more. Complimentary refreshments will be served. This year's event will run from 11 am - 2 pm and will be followed by a dance in the banquet hall. Tickets for the dance can be purchased at the information fair.
